The universe1
is so complicated that to ever
begin to describe it is to sail out into
the void, yet I would be remiss if I did
not mention I have noticed some things.

The point is that language is more fundamental an issue
than any other, for lack of communication prevents
all rapprochment.
Over time, as communication and transportation technologies
have brought us close together, the issue of language comes
to the fore.
They might have the same religion
they might not
they might have look alike
they might not
they might share a philosophy
or taste in food or music
or they might not
but without language much of the rest is indeterminate
Not the soldier, dollar nor idea travels except through space and time. Bombs, books and bushels travel over roads, on ships and by plane, while ideas travel in people's minds. The first barrier is physical, or geo-political, but the next barrier, for ideas and books, is language.
